What character would you like to meet in real life?

Aaah, there could be so many answers to this one. The characters in my fandoms are the REASON they are my fandoms.

My connection to them is why I nerd out at all.

There are lots of reasons to want to meet a character, too. To get answers. To get advice. To get eye candy (ahem…).

I’ll choose someone based on how I feel I would connect with them in friendship. Someone who, if I met at a bar, I might leave with their number and a promise to get brunch.

Princess Leia.

My snarky, badass yet sophisticated, wise and courageous princess.

I don’t get choked up over celebrity deaths, but Carrie Fisher’s passing really bummed me out. It was too soon and she was too wonderful as Princess Leia.

Carrie’s performance as Princess Leia was groundbreaking, at least to me. At the young age I first saw the original trilogy, she was my definition of a strong female character.

If there is any character I want as a friend, it would definitely be my girl Leia.

I am writing this as the new The Rise of Skywalker trailer was released. Hearing Leia’s words at the end definitely got me right in the feels.
